About

Norwegian Mount Everest Base Camp Wedding

Hello!

We are two travel loving people enjoying new places and seeing more of the world. As full time employees we have limited spare time and therefore try to write about our trips, tips and experience with a focus on those who does not have the luxury of travelling anytime for any duration (spoiler alert: There’s no such thing as “no time for travel”, you just need to know how to make time!).

Combined we have more than 60 countries of experience and hope more will be added in the future. Our first around the world trip has been completed and we would love to do it again. We also got married on Mount Everest Base Camp, by far the most exciting travel experience in our lives!

In 2019 we were named the third best travel blog in Norway by TrueStory.no.

The destinations span across most of the world with the majority being European, only missing Antarctica to have visited all the continents. We also have a fair bit passport stamps from American countries, especially the smaller island nations in the Caribbean. Small countries are fun! Adventure and exploration trips have become more interesting for us and is something we are focusing on now. Examples of this are the amazing Galápagos Islands, Inca Trail til Machu Picchu and not to mention Mount Everest Base Camp Trek.

Countries we have visited

A picture is worth a thousand words says the expression. In that case videos must be priceless. That’s why we are increasingly documenting the world through video in new ways. Below is our first hyper lapse, 10 000 photos taken manually and stitched together to a summary of 7 European countries:

On YouTube our other videos can be found, amongst others from Mount Everest Base Camp and The Galápagos Islands.

What is Bilivoka?

Bilivoka is Fijian and means “to go to fish in the morning, when the tide is going out”. We found it quite awesome to have a specific word for that, and that’s how we named the site.

  1. Thanks for your video on Faroe. We are planning a photo trip there in May and enjoyed your insights. Thank you

  2. Same! Hoping to go to the islands sometime between late April/early May in 2019. Too many friends have now recommended it and next time I go back to Norway I need to get out of Oslo. So there it shall be!

    • You surely won’t regret going there. 🙂 April/May should be a nice time to go as well, not that many tourists yet, but still OK temperatures and hopefully not too much rain.

Wow your photos are amazing! Me and my boyfriend would like to get married at base camp too, can I ask how you organised the monk?

    Thank you!
