About a year ago we travelled to a remote valley in Norway, where we found two mines at the bottom of a steep mountain side. After doing some research we discovered that there is a path going all the way up to the top of the mountain, an impressive 715 meters above. And on top there were allegedly more mines, one of which was supposed to be hanging straight off the mountain side, only accessible by an 80 meter ladder. Here is the video from our trip finding the mine:
Whether you like mines or not, the hike over the mountain is a great trip. The view from the top is really breath taking (and not just because of all the uphill walking).

In order to get such a view we naturally had to gain a fair amount of altitude. And with a 715 metre difference in elevation it took a while, but Tora was still smiling by the time we finished the steepest part.

Closer to the summit we came across a series of items revealing the history of the mining, such as wires, train tracks, houses, tools and equipment. To see the entire trip, check out the video above.

Absolutely incredible find! Wow The idea of exploring a mine that’s been untouched since WWII is both fascinating and a little eerie. The Norwegian landscape looks absolutely stunning, even with the challenging hike. The video really brings the adventure to life! It’s amazing to see the remnants of the mining operation and imagine what it must have been like back then. Thanks for sharing this unique and adventurous story! ⛏️
